I can rep out 2x bw double over, but cant even hit a single with double over at 3x..

although I have not hit 4x bw deadlift... I am close.

George Leeman uses double over iirc. Not 4x bw but world record level.

Double over and hook are 2 different things. You don't need that much grip for hook.

You said it's possible to deadlift 4xbw with double over and I said it's not. You are the one who need to prove it now.

i think the more pressing issue itt is that op has no idea how to deadlift? stiff legged lifting is shit, and say rip in pieces to your knees and hips if you try heavy sumo and dont know what youre doing.

why dont you just learn how to do a standard deadlift and save yourself the trouble? if stiff legged kills your back its not because its stiff legged, its because you dont have the hip ROM to perform the lift with a neutral spine. in general my opinion is fuk stiff legged pulling, use a platform to elevate the bar if you wanna do that shit because most people cant hinge at the hips and get their hands to a barbell without massive lumbar fault.
