I didn't mix anything up. If I am trying to bulk up/mass up/gain volume I want to use HIGH weight for 4-6 reps. If I am trying to gain strength/cut then I want to use LOW/MEDIUM weight for 10+ reps. Yeah you're going to get 'stronger' and gain 'strength' when you lift high weight for low reps. So, disregard the 'strength' part. You want to even out the top of your body. That means you need to bulk up/mass up/gain volume, which is done by HIGH weight and 4-6 reps max. People who do high reps, like 10+, are in most cases trying to cut and get stronger.

Interesting, tell me more please?

Back to the drawing board for you pal

@prednam I don't see any reason this wouldn't work. But why not hit legs, just at low volume while bulking your upper body? Maybe just do a few heavy sets of squats to maintain muscle mass (and potentially even gain strength) but keep volume sufficiently low

yeah, kinda what i was expecting, and no i really dont want to risk growing legs even bigger cause my jeans have been getting small too often and i dont like to wear baggy jeans for room.

The strength isnt that critical, i just thought of the whole process in the long run. Just as long as its possible to do what i described, then im good :)

Lightman whats your take on it?
