Haha yeah cutting weight for fighting is pretty intense/serious, I'm not sure exactly what your competition is but if it's just for fun really I wouldn't really starve yourself as intensely.

If it's like a bodybuilding-type thing then yeah it doesn't hurt to cut pretty hard because it doesn't matter how physically gassed you are from the calorie deficit, but if you'll be lifting or something make sure you get some clean food in you after.

cut out salt, and follow what ch1ef said roughly... maybe not as intense tho because looking like youre going to die isnt worth having 2-3 less pounds on you versus looking healthy / having a good attitude,but being 3 pounds heavier.

normally u would want to prep in a sauna for a few days, like saturday and sunday do some time in a suana or hot tub.... do like 15-20 minute sessions while drinking water, just basically getting your body used to sweating and getting used to being in a sauna/hot tub.. using a hot tub is better imo if you have access to one, or a bath tub, either works.

then monday you should feel fine, wake up and maybe have a few blackberries for the brain lol, or some sort of fruit / sugar, and hit the hot tub but cut the water out or keep it to very very small sips just to keep the mouth semi wet, go in intervals that you feel comfortable with, and you should be able to lose some solid weight.

its kind of difficult to give you a plan tho... because you dont have a target weight really and you dont have a strict weight limit you must be at...

so it's hard to tell how hard you would wanna push, and how much realistically you could shed. most people that cut weight have done it many many times so they know like... "for every 16 minutes in the hot tub @ 101 degrees ill lose a pound" or something along those lines, and then you can really map out a good plan.

if that makes sense?

look up some weight cut tips online, be careful what you read tho.. theres a ton of broscience involved in weight cutting, like putting isopropyl rubbing alcohol in the bath tub...

OH and if u use a bath tub, make sure u have someone there with u to help u stand up, idk how hard youre going to push but its very dangerous to just stand up after soaking in a hot tub like that....

its terrible for your body to salivate like that then never have any food or saliva come down.

and for his situation hes sooooooooooooo far from needing to go that extreme.

same with the sweat suit... it works, but thats for serious weight cutting, this guy doesnt need to try and kill himself lol.

we're probably around the same age (early 20s) and back when we were in highschool thats how people cut weight, but it was so dumb...

theres so much more knowledge on the right way to do it now, and so many safer and more effective techniques.

IMO hot tub is the ultimate method.. you just lay there and relax and do nothing.. that oldschool garbage where youre on the track running laps with a sweat suit on is physical and mental torture.

thats just my opinion tho.
