lol this is me too, my strength goes from like benching 165 all the way to benching 115 if i try to do 1 minute rests, how the fk u guys manage that? I usually do like 2 min rests O_O

better to lower weight and rest time, or keep rest time 90-120 secs and go with a heavier weight?

e/ this is probably one of those things that makes little difference, right?

depends on goal, generally longer rests for more weight to focus on strength, shorter rests to tire the muscle without destroying your cns (because the volume is generally higher) for hypertrophy

e/ to an extreme, trying to do hypertrophy and doing like 8 sets of 8 at 80% with 10 min rests will rek u

I usually rest a minute between sets, as I switch off each set with my gym partner.

Sometimes 2 minutes if I have to search for a different song on my phone. Nothing like a set getting ruined because a shitty song starts up.

I do love the mind game of someone barely touching the bar or your wrist so that your mind thinks it's easier to get the weight up. It's a game changer.

i usually dont workout for strength

for strength i believe u should rest for 90 to 120 seconds between sets

but for hypertrophy ive heard 60 seconds is good

what about 30 sec for hypertrophy? much difference? sometimes im in a rush and do 30 sec rest times between sets, easiest to do for bicep tricep exercises , although ive done for all body parts except legs. i like to use full rest between leg sets

I consistently have to ask myself if you're serious or if you have some mental illness.
