I don't have a set speciality goal right now
I loved Oncology, but I want to teach so I really don't know
I talked to someone who does Intensive Care / teaches a lot / general internal medicine and it really looked like a cool lifestyle
So a fellowship about ICU care of burn victims so that I end up with a job like the one I just described would be pretty insanely fun
What are studying already? Biochem?
UdeS
Dude I have the same aspirations though.. in terms of pursuing an MD but still wanting to teach & do some research in some way. That's one of the big reasons I'm going MD instead of raw PhD. I'd like to do more lol
but yeah oncology is always going to be interesting but that lifestyle also seems pretty sweet as well. A little of each aspect so it's not completely mundane/monotonous.
And I'm about to apply to med schools when the application cycle opens up in the next couple of months (apps sent off July 1st I believe). I am in biochem in classes right now but that's last semester undergrad
