when will people learn that to lose weight is the easiest thing on the planet and all u have to do is learn to count. dont follow a stupid diet program, dont follow a stupid fitness program, dont eat "healthy". buy a scale, weigh and measure everything u eat and drink, log it to keep track, eat less calories than u expend each day. loose weight... it WILL work for everyone, everytime. unless they have a legitimate metabolism disorder or some shit.

I don't think anyone's arguing that counting calories will result in weight loss.

I think what they are saying is that the weight loss is temporary because some people can't maintain that new diet over the long term. As soon as they reach their target weight they think they've done it and then go back to their old diet and regain all the weight.

There needs to be better education about why you are losing weight and how can you maintain that weight long term.

Agreed. I don't think it's emphasized enough that *maintaining* weight loss / fitness is a lifestyle choice.

Now, I don't expect every couch potato out there to be like Zyzz inside of a year, but c'mon. You can stand to *not* have a cheeseburger every once in a while, nahmean?
