I already use fingers and not Palm. My fingers slowly slide open tho on heavy lifts Cuz my grip isn't strong enough I guess.

I do use chalk as well and a lot of it lol.

I think its just my grip gives out and my fingers loosen which allows for the bar to slip and rip them.

It's the tiny callus's on on the middle of my finger not the huge Palm callus's. Those ones are fine.

Using too much chalk will have the opposite effect, it will make it more slippery. Clap off excess chalk so it's a very thin cover

trim your calluses is #1 imo. helps me a lot
work your hands into position where no skin is getting pinched (obvious), and try a hook grip if need be (i used a mixed, hooked grip for top sets sometimes)

I'll try this for sure then. My hands sweat so I always chalk the fuck up. I'm for sure using too much lol

Also I take my time making sure my grip is solid and no loose skin but I'm pretty sure the tears happened on the 2nd or 3rd rep. I reset every rep but I don't like taking more than like 5 seconds to reset otherwise it feels like I'm resting for too long. I feel like my grip is shit on the 2nd and up rep.

Straps. I use straps for all heavy pulls.

Don't like not being able to lift it because it slips from my calluses.

I had the same problem.

When you grip the bar, stop including the loose skin in between the bottom of your fingers and the middle of your hand in your grip. Grab it purely with your fingers. Use straps or chalk to recover the callous,.

this^ and use chalk and you wont slip at all.

and yet nobody told him to do specific exercises to rehab a weak left hand because it was injured before... sad.

@OP

You may always be fighting a weaker left due to the injury you mentioned but isolating your left and doing specific grip exercises with just your left a couple days out from DL days will help it get stronger. Also, after doing your deadlifts on DL days isolating your weak hand and doing more grip stuff after is also good. Work it harder than the right side, but allow time for recovery too.

Farmer's walks. Static Holds. Grippers.

If you don't plan to compete or don't really care, straps.
