He kinda has a point. If you want to do it for personal reasons go for it. I took shit like AP bio and never used it in college since I went into engineering, just made more work for me in HS for no reason.

physics or organic chemistry if you can handle it

pretty much this, both are classes you are going to have to take if you have a science type degree path in college. having a little background in them will help you big time, esp. ochem because a lot of programs (at least where I went) use Ochem to weed out people early. Both are also fairly interesting/useful classes from a knowledge standpoint too

Will be a senior. Most the classes I listed are new and won't stay if people don't take them

getting a handle on orgo now would be a huge benefit to you if you plan on doing anything in medicine or medical science, because it is probably the bane of any med students GPA. everything else is easy to deal with. its not really even the material thats hard, its just that the problem solving in most organic chem exams is next level
