Here are some of the questions that will make diagnosing your condition easier. There are so many things it can be that it would be impossible to speculate at this point, Gall bladder stones, cholecystitis, irritable bowel syndrome, portal hypertension, chrons, ulcerative cholitis, Whipple's disease, etc etc.
When did the problem start?
What part of your stomach do you feel the pain in?
When it comes how long does it last for?
In your own words can you characterize the pain / symptoms?
Are there any associated symptoms
On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst pain of your life, how bad is it?
Does the pain Radiate anywhere (move from one spot to another)
What time of day is it better or worse or is it pretty constant?
Does anything relieve it or make it worse besides the stuff you listed?
How does it affect your life?
How many times a day do you pass stool?
Is it loose, bloody, mucous, etc?
What color is it? Any blood?
Have you thrown up at all? If so is there any blood in it?
Have you tried antacids? If so what were the results?
What have your doctors previously said they think it might be?
Do you have any yellowing of your eyes or itchiness of your skin?
Have you had any imaging done on your abdomen yet?
Any swelling of your stomach, or dilated veins around your abdomen?
Have you previously been hospitalized?
If so have you had any surgeries?
Are you on any medications?
Are you Allergic to anything?
Have you ever been diagnosed with a chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension, etc, anything that lasts a long time)?
How is the health of your parents and siblings, do they now or ever in the past have had similar symptoms?
What does your normal diet look like, how large are the portions, etc.
I am assuming you exercise and are not obese?
You mentioned smoking and alcohol, how much of those do you consume a day?
Any illicit drug use?
Are you sexually active? If so with whom and do you wear condoms?
Have you ever been STD tested? If yes what were the results?
Other than the questions previously mentioned do you have any other symptoms or things you'd like to mention such as: headaches, eye pain, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, chest pain, muscle weakness, associated joint pain, etc.
LOL! you're silly. gall stones = cholecystitis. colicky abdominal pain + tender mass. Portal htn = caput medusae. ibs=uc. Basically obvious signs and symptoms.
