worst advice was that if you don't lift you are somehow worse than ppl who do\
2nd worst advice was ever using the word alpha

Well tbh if you aren't physically active I would in fact argue you aren't as good as someone who is
you're nowhere near your bodily potential, including mental capacity, not to mention the slew of physical & health benefits that you simply can't get without being active.

I completely agree. But that train of thought seems to imply that all other forms of physical activity that are not lifting are not legitimate.

what do you mean by "aren't as good"? Aren't as good physically? Of course. Aren't as good of a person or by measuring their contribution to society? not at all.

Back in the day being told, start off with X weight, after 2 weeks add a few kg's and so on keep increasing.

Worst advice ever as you can't just grab some dumbells say 10kg for example and train everything, you will chest press more than you will bicep curl you need to adjust weight to exercise.

the correct advice is to eat dirty or rip gains

Was going to post this as the worst advice I've been given. There's nothing that kills your motivation/self esteem as much as training hard and still looking like shit because you got fat.
