like previously stated, just focusing on abs is not the optimal way to get good abs. To get abs you need a low bf. You get this from eating clean and weight training your whole body.
I might do 20 mins of abs a week and I've got abs, which is just because im lean and certain compound lifts like deadlifts help a lot.

1. if you are fat you need to drop your calories and up the protein and cut all the fat off u got over ur abs and train them with high reps like 5 sets of 20-30 reps
2. if you are skinny and just dont have the abs muscles, then u need to up the carbs and the protein and go for heavy lifts like 5 sets of 6-8 reps
eating clean can mean eating RICE or PASTA, its also a clean and healthy carbs huh? best way to lose fat is to go for this diet : high protein / zero carbs / really low fat for the healthy life and power
