to op:

like previously stated, just focusing on abs is not the optimal way to get good abs. To get abs you need a low bf. You get this from eating clean and weight training your whole body.

I might do 20 mins of abs a week and I've got abs, which is just because im lean and certain compound lifts like deadlifts help a lot.

shut the fuck up when uve got no knowledge because ur giving wrong advices retarded kid.
1. if you are fat you need to drop your calories and up the protein and cut all the fat off u got over ur abs and train them with high reps like 5 sets of 20-30 reps
2. if you are skinny and just dont have the abs muscles, then u need to up the carbs and the protein and go for heavy lifts like 5 sets of 6-8 reps

eating clean can mean eating RICE or PASTA, its also a clean and healthy carbs huh? best way to lose fat is to go for this diet : high protein / zero carbs / really low fat for the healthy life and power

Dear OP,

The only way I've ever been able to get visible abs was to go on a nearly carbless, ketogenic diet, do lots of cardio, p90x ab ripper adapted to what I wanted. Usually walk around at 6'0 200ish lbs. Doing what I said there, I dropped to 185 and got toned.

If I have carbs in my daily diet, I find that it's nearly impossible for me to get lean enough for visible abs. Now, some of my buddies can eat cookies, pizza, etc, and always have visible abs regardless.

its about genetics, i eat about 10 000 calories a day and my abs are ripped as fuck, but if someone is genetically gaining fat easy then he has to stick to the keto diet in my opinion as you said, lower the calories and work his ass off

i got better abs than most of this forum and i dont work an ab by itself ever once in my work regiment. deadlifts and pull ups will work each ab individualy its best abworkout now if u want u can throw in some planks (i usuallt do them for 6-7 minutes holding them the whole time but this is very rare maybe once a month i do a few sets to keep it guesin)

for someone who is gaining easy fat and hasnt fast metabolism this diet rocks! u fill ur body with lots of carbs during the weekend and during the week u burn that shit out, i tried it to see how it works and worked well but for me works better high calorie + protein diet because i never gain fat no matter what

Shit advice

I don't have abs anymore but I used too lol most of it comes from the kitchen
Also you need to train your abs like any other muscle if you do 30 40 50 reps you are a dipshit. Add weight to your crunches and more resistance like a decline bench.
