this is one of the best things I've ever read on the internet.
The look on that dudes face says it all. The excuses fat people make is mind boggling.
And society says it's ok and it's not. Eating that much food is wasteful and horribly unhealthy.
And I know a lot of fat people. My entire direct family is fat. My only brother is a fatty, my only sister is a fatty, my mother is a fatty...
The one common thing with all of em is they're horrendously lazy when it comes to fitness. My mom keeps having an array of health issues and yet still won't even so
much as go for a god damn walk once a day, or even once a year for that matter. And she has one of the best work ethics out of anyone I've ever known. Figure that one out.
its most likely because they dont correlate exercise with health. when you do a word association test with someone and you say healthy, i would put money that they will return with diet before exercise 99% of the time. everybody thinks you have to eat right to be healthy because thats all you hear in the media. they think diet makes you healthy, weights make ur muscles big, and running makes your heart good. probably the second most important factor is that even if someone does finally accept that working out is a necessity, they think that a light walk around the block will be as good as 15 min of HIT training 3-4x per week at 150% VO2max, when the difference is actually like comparing any average height person to alpha (jk m9 i just like to pick on you sometimes <3). walking can be a useful tool in the beginning when aerobic capabilities are low or when the person is like 70 years old, but you need to add some intensity to your workouts and 90% of ppl i see at the gym, even in the weight room, have deluded themselves into thinking that their shitty ass workouts are of a great enough intensity to benefit them metabolically
