Where do you get that figure...?

2500 x 52 = 130k

Strong fuking idiots in this section wow.

Edit ^^ Yeah some people who make six figures don't retire until 50-55, but they also don't continue to get paid after they retire anywhere near what their salary was.

Quit day job (or at the least, scale back to part-time), set up stock portfolio, and get back to working on art / leatherwork.

This, even folks makin 150+ a year don't usually retire until they're 50-55

They don't have 130k a year when they're retired.

Hypothetical scenario:

You scratch off a lotto ticket, and you win $2500 a week for life.  Obviously you will get 1xxx something weekly after taxes.

What moves do you make?  Do you quit your job?  Do you move somewhere else?  Do you make lifting your primary hobby, or do you disregard it entirely?

Personally, I plan to be making that amount of money by my mid 30's.  I think I would continue to work for the next 5-10 years and bank everything.  I would then retire somewhere around 35 and buy a large property in an area where I can get at least an acre that's not too isolated from the city.  I think I'd probably choose upstate NY because I like the variance in weather (cold snowy winters, hot summers, beautiful fall etc).

I would still lift, but I think I would get more involved in endurance activities like hiking, cycling (not cell tech), and trail running.  I would also acquire an alpha dog breed to keep me and my family company.

What would you do?

6k/mo isn't much at all. ~70k a year is upper-middle class. You'll live a good life but aren't going to be doing anything spectacular. Also, you'd get INSANELY bored just sitting around all of the time. 70k/year isn't enough to keep you entertained so you'd be better off going and working or at least volunteering somewhere.

lmfao........strong fuking retard. 70k after taxes is 100k before taxes minimum just about anywhere you work. And it equates to more than that.
