Don't really need any accommodating resistance but if it adds a fun factor go for it

Have you seen a physical therapist for your overall mobility?

You've been complaining about hip mobility, etc. for years now. Seeing one might help you immensely.

I had just horrible hip mobility for years due to not practicing stretching until this year, went to a physical therapist and it's all good now.

i do plan on going to see one, but as ive been doing squats with elevated heels now its worked wonders and people (who know what theyre doing) actually told me my form is absolutely great...my only stretch besides occasional foam rolling/softball tissue stuff is just squatting down spreading my knees open with my elbows and rocking back and forth and all around. i definitely think i may have some kind of issue though because my right hip flexor area has significantly less mobility when it comes to raising my knee up and in/out while my left is ok. but my only issue was depth and now that seems to be ok. it was ankle mobility i guess. i do have weak external rotators (glute medius area which i get some pain in time to time) which probably doesnt help but and squats/sumo deads seem to kill them pretty good and will strengthen them hopefully
