Exactly why speed off the floor is much easier as your quads drive this movement primarily but lockout is harder since you don't have as much hip/glute activation when in Olys.
I am the other way

When I do dl's in OLys I am slow at the start but strong at the lockout due to high activation in lowerback.
When I do in DL slippers/barefoot I use so much upperback and glutes that I pull superfast up to the thighs and then have issues with locking out the last bit thanks to lowerback not being active enough.
