Depends on the school imo

My undergrad didn't even allow us to take more than 18 credits a semester iirc

My school has the same rule for whatever reason. I had to meet with the dean to explain to him that my past grades /accomplishments proved that I would be able to handle the extra work load. He told me that if I were to fail or drop a course both of my scholarships would be revoked. He made it very clear he didn't want me to do it. I did regardless and my grades improved because it forced me to manage my time more closely than I ever had previously. I've taken over the maximum amount of credits each semester so far and I've been able to maintain over a 3.7 every semester. You can do it Shane.

Good luck with downtime, I had little to none outside of what I used to go to the gym and work.
Organic chem II + lab
For me organic II was the hardest out of those you listed(looking back at it now I wonder why... I took this very early on in my educational career). This was primarily because it took me the first half of the course just to learn how to properly study for it. Once I figured that out it became a breeze.
Physics II + lab
Physics II is a joke if you're at all good at math. Is yours algebra or calculus based? Either way if you ever need any help shoot me a PM (this goes for all of these courses).
Biochemistry
As far as biochemistry, if you're good at Orgo II you'll be fine at biochemistry. I ended up liking biochemistry much more than orgo II.
Genetics
Super interesting class for myself, my friends however told me they were bored out of their minds. I guess it just depends on what interests you. This class is probably the most amount of "brute memorization" as opposed to learning "how" to do processes (such as orgo II) which is why I excelled; a mixture of iimmunology / pharmacotherapy  if you've taken either of those.
Embryology + lab
As far as embryology I haven't had a specific course on that (the others I have, however) so I can't speak on that.

Let me know if you have any other questions, good luck buddy!

Eh, I can say as far as the biology classes go, biochem/embryology/genetics, I'm completely unworried about those. My memory is pretty good (trying to be modest there) so it doesn't require much for raw memorization classes. Plus, I've studied biochemistry and genetics in some detail on my own, so I think those won't be bad.

Heh, funnily enough, for me currently, physics I is harder than any class I've ever had  even compared to every upper level bio class I've had. Honestly I've realized most of the reason why it's difficult is simply the professor. She's the most pedantic individual I've ever seen, but it's completely unecessary. My first 2 homework assignments I made a 50% on them.. yet all my answers were right and I showed my work. She just didn't like the way I set up my problems. If you don't set up a problem AND perform it in the exact fashion she wants it, you get more taken off than if the answer is wrong. It's fucked. Never had such a moronic and controlling professor before.

As for ochem, I'm only in first semester ochem so it's pretty simple stuff, but the first exam I made a 99.5% w/ 45 mins of studying. The class is really clicking with ease for me so far.

My school is no more than 20 credits AKA 5 full classes.

What's the rush if you don't mind me asking?

I did a few 18 credit hour terms but generally 15 was a good balance between learning a lot and enjoying my life.

Last semester
18 hours is necessary. I'd just like to take an extra class for my own edification. I have 18 hours now and it's not too bad

That's complete crap if they marked you wrong for doing it a different way. If I had to do it the way my professor taught it I would have gotten a 0.
Same went for me, ochem I vs ochem II is completely different. I floated through I with ease and then got crapped on when I started II.

Yeah dude, like 1/2 of the people will drop and take it at another institution and it's been like that for years because of how she teaches the class.
She cares more about the set up:
writing all the info you have
assigning variables to everything
writing everything out to the full extent
for instance, if I'm changing from g to kg, I have to SHOW the calculation, I can't just move the decimal place..
it's incredibly pedantic

But yeah, currently my grade isn't even very good even though I understand what we've went over, it's pretty crazy. I really don't care about getting a B in physics I and II though since I see how it's taught.. I'm just kind of "whatever" now, as long as I kill the physics portion of the MCAT. Besides, I sincerely doubt medical schools will care about a single grade in physics when considering every BIOLOGY class (the actual pertinent things) are all As, and even nearly 100s in them all.

What is considered full time in your state?

Most I had ever done was 13 units (12 considered full time) working two jobs ~50 hours a week + gym.

Absolutely doable but that's intense with a kid ect. Respekt m9

I took a quarter with 20 units + extracurriculars and I think I managed to get a 3.95
Just make sure you don't get behind in any classes and you should be fine (do readings and such ahead of time)
I did have to take some gym time off during finals and midterms seasons though.
