I know but you miss a bear by like an inch of the right spot, and he will run for days.

I dont have time to deal with that + we dont lure them in and just sit in a tree

So the chances of 1. finding a bear, and 2. shooting with a bow through new brunswick woods, good fucking luck to ya

What cartridge do you use for bears? I have heard varying arguments on what people consider to be powerful enough haha.

What kind of bear? You can take down black bears with pretty much any standard rifle round. Back when I lived in Kodiak, AK, we wouldn't use anything smaller than a .45-70 for those Kodiak Grizzlies.
