Probably drops the HGH, lol.

And about being humble.

"I tell people I'm a professional chess player" *flexes bicep*

that's obviously a joke, do you actually take that as being cocky? you might need to lighten up....

I don't perceive it as being cocky per say, but I don't perceive it as being humble either.

Being humble would be like Bill Gates saying that he works with computers "and stuff" (instead of saying CEO & founder of Microsoft) instead of him saying, oh I work as a janitor *flashes a million dollar patek phillipe on his watch*.

Still humorous though, when I get a little more jacked than I am right now I might starting saying similar stuff when people ask what I do for hobbies and shit.

I love how humble he is, but I'm just wondering he talks a bit about how he doesn't want the huge bulky bodybuilding physiques of today, but rather the classic look, how does he define that? is it a certain way he trains? certain drugs he doesn't take?

it's aestheticism. most of today's bodybuilders go for max bulk and max definition at max bulk. not just volume, but sheer mass. so what happens is that they lose symmetry and they don't create a unique, crafted aesthetic.

arnold was sculpting his body. he wanted perfection. and perfection was about how his body looked, not how big it was. he wanted to be a big bodybuilder (for his time), but he wanted to develop a very specific look. i think the best current examples are kai greene and the indominable dexter jackson.

he probably avoids HGH because it's horrible for aesthetics, but otherwise i'm sure takes a bunch of the usual stuff. either way, he's not training for max bulk, and this gives him time and energy to shape his physique.

i see what i perceive as glaring weaknesses in his physique but he has a better "look" than all of the ifbb olympia competitors, although kai, dexter and phil are not what i would call "bad" aethestically. phil is just an anomaly though (genetic superstar, a bit like flex wheeler in his day).

Ohhh well it's a lot of isolation exercises. Probably not too much focus on mass, but still a focus on density (volume and thickness without the muscle belly being bloated).

The training principles are roughly the same as those for the IFBB Olympia contenders, but there's no HGH and the focus is on quality, not mass. Olympia guys want quality but they go so hard on mass that they lose shape. It shows the most in the abs. Diet plays a role, too. If you train heavier, eat more, take HGH and focus a bit less on the isolation stuff ... then you get hulky.

Think of the current Olympia standard as 80-90/100 mass and 70-80/100 definition and 50-80/100 aesthetics. Arnold was more like 70/100 mass, 80/100 definition, 95/100 aesthetics. One could say the new guys couldn't compete on stage with him but he couldn't compete on stage with them.

e: probably not more cardio btw. Or not much more.
