I may join the service after the Uni. to get more grants, ect... for grad school.
However, he isn't protecting my freedom and probably won't while in the service.
But don't act like he is doing shit for citizens because "he is in the service"... he is doing more for the 1% than anyone else being a drone.

I know quite a few in the infantry. Tbh I've never actually met an army or military dude that was actually intimidating or seemed to be in exceptionally good shape unfortunately

You make me giggle. I have a buddy who is infantry and he agrees that most who "serve" are not only serving for themselves because they fucked up in some way or another, but are also pushovers and a joke.

Of course there are those who serve for their country, and those who wanted to join from the beginning and went in as officers. But those are rare in comparison to those who enlisted because they were lazy, or had no alternative.
