What he says is true in regards to essentially anything excess is deleterious to health
if you read that one post I did showing a lot of ingredients cited as harmful aren't really harmful.. yet, most everything was noted to be harmful in excess doses, and moderation is what made them okay. That naturally applies to most anything. I do disagree with him about a pack of skittles here and there being bad for you in any way. Insulin sensitivity is so greatly dictated by bf%, I don't foree an argument from that perspective. The ingredients are proven fine in moderation as well. I think he just doesn't want to be applied with the brostyle IIFYM who eats poptarts everyday for their chos, so he's going a little extreme.

idk and idgaf. maybe he's bored. i still like him out of every other Ph.Douche out there.
a regular person can do with nearly any macro comp. a diabetic person naturally won't go for 60% carbs, refined and simple etc. an epileptic won't go for 10% fats, etc.
every person who needs special health attention to his food choices already knows it and does so.

i tend to agree with you on this, he's definitely at the top of the pack, but i still think his 10-20% rule is bullshit.

I feel like your diet shouldn't be mcdonalds every day, but if you have a day where you're only able to get to mcdonalds, you won't really see a difference. (well you'll probably feel terrible)

Health wise you have to consider the micro nutritional content of the food as well, body composition wise eat w/e the fuck you want as long as it fits your macros

I also mentioned to just take your multivitamin along with those "unhealthy" foods. However apparently in his mind there's still long term unhealthy effects, I just wanted to see the evidence and he didn't deliver.

Like lightman said alan just doesn't want to be associated with junk food.

I mean if you have a bad ratio of saturated:unsaturated fats in your diet for a while it could yield health problems. Also in regards to micronutrients, you probably won't get everything you need from a multi, you'll most likely have to take other supplements as well. But if all you're going for is the body shape you want than IIFYM is awesome lol

As I said before, exercising, eating shit everyday, and being lean is healthier than being anything over 20% bf but eating clean, for instance. Unequivocally.
I'm really not sure where Alan is going with this. A multivit won't cover all your needs but the synthetic vits are the same as if you got them from food

saturated fat is completely fine unless in seriously gross excess.. there's also no ideal ratio of sat:unsat fats lol
that same train of thought goes for unsaturated fats too, especially PUFAs and their high penchant to be oxidized, contributing to tissue damage
I guess basically, most everything is bad in excess, as Alan notes as well
