I think 100.

I asked the guy if I could use the varsity gym or if there were free weights anywhere, and he was like "No, but you can use the smith machines. Free weights aren't around for safety and liability reasons".

Oh okay guy, my high school gym had squat racks, but makes sense...

Oh wow, that is what this thread was made for. To find out what those workouts are called. Might as well continue to be a dick.

i'd go with a shakeweight in this case.

Cause it's rocket science.

Lunges and good mornings.

humor comes from someone working out as long as you have and not knowing what to do without a barbell.

You don't ''need'' deadlift. If you really cared about deadlift you'd spend money on a real gym.

I have lifted for a total of 6 months, 1 of those months doing extremely light weight out of pt trying to get my gains back. 6 months is a long time.

This statement makes zero sense.

Dead man's walk, modified deadlift on a slightly raised surface, kettlebell type stuff, hip thrusts, maybe one-legged squats, lunges ... presses are really great with dumbbells but it depends on what you're already lifting. Maybe more incline/decline if you find them tougher.

It's hard to get a truly good strength workout without some barbells and racks; hypertrophy shouldn't be toooo bad if you stick to iso stuff and volume. You can't replace a full gym, but maybe you could get the fees back and join a different gym.

It makes plenty of sense...
And you can do any standard exercise with dumbbells as opposed to barbells. If it's a varsity gym they might have trap bars to deadlift with.
