College rugby player here wondering which will yield the most benefits

In my opinion, I would say conventional, the reason for this is because conventional is a lot less technique oriented then sumo...

Kind of like doing a hang power clean ( power clean actually means catching the bar above a 90 degree squat position) for sport training then doing an actual clean ( full squat in order to receive the barbell on your shoulders)

sumo is generally easier than conv form wise, since youre not using as much core, which is usually a weak point, also less flexibility needed

.... ask that to any elite powerlifter.... someone who sumos their first time usually will not pull as much as if they do a conventional deadlift.

Also, sumo is more flexibility then conventional?????

and sumo is a ton of core....

He does this for a living, give him some credibility, also hes not the only one to prone that beginners with deadlift problems should try sumo

he is showing how to make the sumo easier for beginners... it takes flexibility to get into a good sumo stance.... a long with a lot of strength to keep the back up.

uh... give him some credibility for what.... a PE coach sometimes teaches lifts for a living... doesn't make their knowledge superior....

also how do you know we don't do it for a living?

Just because he makes money off his channel, doesn't mean he knows anything about anything. It just means that people believe him because nobody has critical thinking skills these days.
