well focus on building muscle mass or losing weight one at a time. Idk your time frame.

If you just want to lose weight, just find out your BMR with your activity multiplier, then just eat less calories than that says by 10%-20%. No need to follow a super strict diet of 5 meals a day.

if you are serious about modeling, i'd invest some time of actually putting on a touch of muscle on your frame first before getting lean.

Yeah you're right.
I am serious about modelling so I definetly should gain muscle mass.

You need to calculate you bmr, and then multiply by your daily activity level then -500 from your total to begin to lose 1 pound a week
3500 caloric deficit= 1 pound at 8-11% you will begin to see abs and then stop where you want to

routine? starting strength, wendler 5/3/1, and uh not raynor's

what do you mean by daily activity level ? and most of what you said just lost my damn mind at the bolded

Yea, didn't say that by any means. nice try though

but can you tell me why the hell anyone trying to model would run starting strength over a hypertrophy based one? lol.

come on man please stop

then i'd focus on eating at a caloric surplus and working off a pure hypertrophy routine for as long as it takes. You can most likely get by with 3-4 months of it depending on how much you want to gain.

As for routine, you can stick with hitting 1 bodypart a day, high volume, lower rest intervals, higher reps 8-15, eating at a surplus, and getting enough sleep. You'll grow this way.

because he wants to lose weight, focussing on strength would be most beneficial, hyper would only help him lose faster

come on....

please stop

Edit to your new edit: if he was to go in that direction then yes i would agree there are alternitives

Alright so I had to google what a calorie surplus was and a hypertrophy routine.
Anyways now that I know what program to do - how do I create a calorie surplus diet and a workout routine for it ?
