Yes I have for several months.

Honestly it started by my interest of wanting to open my third eye

Why not open all your chakras and balance them to work in unision?

Beats just opening one.

Btw I recommend Robert Bruce's book on Astral projection if anybody wants to try it. It's called Astral Dynamics, the only new age book I care to mention and have actually tried out some of the methods building up to a projection. It's legit.

What do you think is better, guided or just do it yourself in pure quiet?

It's turned into that, no doubt.. it just started with dat dere third eye because it's appealing. Working on the others and working on astral projecting. I've gotten to the vibrational stage but was unable to actually perform the act.. then I rolled over and had the best sleep of my life lol

Guided meditation has a specific goal at the end of it, something to accomplish.

Silent meditation makes you realize your inner workings/subconscious and makes you synchronize yourself with your right karmic path in life and you can achieve creepy ass fucking synchronicity via thought projections (right place right time, miracles sort of thing).

All forms of mediation are worth giving a try though.

I prefer silent, where I just shut off all my thoughts and realize the balance of this universe.

The vibrational state....you got pretty far then...look up the rope method, or the roll out method once you hit that point.

Well I actually did try the rope method
honestly the thing was.. this was pretty fast after I started meditating as I was doing it religiously.. but I THOUGHT I wanted to do it, told myself that, etc.. but when I got close to being able to I got scared
I'm all for it now though, so next time I get there it's happening tbh.

Meditation makes you realize the past, present, the future are all the same. It makes you realize the truth about of time and that time is a lie.

You probably got scared because you heard "noises"/bumps and or somebody calling your name or somebody at your door in that state, or the dweller in the treshold or w/e that entity is called, but realize that when you're in the vibrational stage you're just going to hallucinate and that it's not real because you're on the border of being asleep/awake. Realize these as hallucinations and as a lie and once you finally project then Congrats! It's just going to get easier from then on.

A state known as the hypnagogic state where your mind disassociates itself from the body to prepare for sleep so you don't sleep-walk.

Sometimes people wake up around this stage somewhat and it's known as sleep paralysis, it's when audiovisual hallucinations occur/nightmares/etc. It's a phase that's related to when you kick in your sleep, that's when your astral body re-aligns itself with the physical body with a "jerk".

Sometimes I like to make myself cry because it's so relieving (';

Is that a form of meditation?
