would like to point out to op that "I'm not obese or anything, but I don't have a flat stomach or six pack" @ 200 lbs pretty much means you are obese/fat.

i would like to point out to YOU that he is also 6'4

i am 5'9 and i weigh 190lbs, and im deff not fat.

OP

i would advise u to go to SkyRaynors thread at the top of this forum, he gives free advice (jst copy and paist ur original post)

but here is what i think

you goals are kinda mixed together... to get "stronger" you need to lift heavy, remember anything can be used as weights.

( i flip a 500lb tire for one of my workouts :P )

trees,logs, anything you can find.

now to "tone" has more to do with diet, you should be eating frequently ( roughly every 3 hours )

you need proteins ( meats,chicken,fish,tuna, etc )
and eat lots of veggies 2.

your meals should be smaller since ur eating more frequently.

edit

i see someone else already directed you torwards that thread ^_^

is there a reason for increasing the amount of meals but decreasing the size? is it the intention to exercise throughout the day and just fuel myself with good foods?

edit: thanks, I'll copy/paste my initial post in to his thread, I only linked my thread earlier and he didn't reply.

edit2: the diet thing, eating more times but less amounts, wouldn't that make me gain weight? I don't want to lose any and I'm not opposed to gains, but I'm not sure how that would tone me (I'm ignorant about all of this, I have no clue what does what and I'm curious).

your body can only digest a certain amount of protein, fat etc each meal. so by breaking up the meals you increase your intake.

it speeds up ur metabolism thus burning more calories

also i wouldnt workout throught the WHOLE day, maybe do some cardio in the morning then in the afternoon do ur heavy workouts.

@ drdemon, yea -_- kids these days

edit

also make sure ur letting ur body rest, post workout nutrition is most important imho

dont do abs everyday, at most do them every OTHER day. and again, hold weights to do ab exercises. this will make them BIGGER

alright, interesting. that's good to know. so eating until I'm full isn't the best idea, especially for what I want, right? I should eat enough, but not too much and I shouldn't ever be completely full?

i suggest getting a diet and workout routine from raynor.

if you work out properly you wont be able to work out certain muscles more then 1-2 times in a week. abs and cardio you can do more often.

You're fresh to working out/exercise, if you try and make a goal of it to workout/run throughout an entire day, you'll last like half a week. Make a routine, make it habitual, and stick to it.

what if I was able to stick to it and keep going though? would it be a problem? I'm very determined and it's not like I'm a weakling or anything, I'm a hard worker too.
