Hello all..I'm looking to start the Keto diet..been reading the reddit section and tons of people are doing it..enjoying it..losing weight. I'm looking to get from 215 LBS to around 190 LBS..hopefully within 2-3 months. Then start going to the gym and making gains.

Basically looking for some advice on daily meals to eat.

my go to's will be:
breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, high fat zero carb yogurt.
lunch: 2x deli meat wrap w/ cheese slice in middle, bacon bits from breakfast bacon, hard boiled egg
dinner: any meat with low carb vegies - will be doing stuff peppers a lot w/ onion/cheese
snacks: strawberry(small amount) nuts

looking for other ideas from people who are currently doing this.

you'd be better off not deliberately going for ketosis, operating with a moderate deficit (15-25% -ish) and start working out now.

I mean if you care more about how you look and feel, and not the scale.

It's a lot easier to lose weight with a basic diet plan. You can use an app like myfitnesspal to track what you eat and lose weight that way. It counts your macros and calories so you lose weight so long as you maintain a calorie deficit.

I agree with this.

If you're just trying to "get into shape" Keto isnt the way to go. It's a difficult diet to adapt to and get used to (atleast IMO) and that difficulty makes it hard to stick with it. Just go on a cut, watch what you eat, IIFYM.

I agree with the fellas about keto being hard to stick due to it being so extremely different from your normal diet.

If you still want to do keto, start experimenting with different kind of meals as fast as you can (as a matter of a fact, I'd recommend doing it before making the diet daily). Having variety and finding meals you like is the key component making you feel like you enjoy eating, not just something you force upon yourself.
