Just looking for thoughts on this style of training.

I completely blew out my leg in August on the trails in Banff (don't run down the mountains at a sprint, might seem fun at the time).

I was around a 550lb DL and just above 400lb Squat at that point. Was hoping 2016 was going to finish with a 585 DL but unfortunately that flew to shit. My leg seems to be in a point where i can start putting some weight on it and begin training again. I did a few test pulls of 405 to see where i was at and a few lighter squat sets.

Before this i followed the free program from TSA which worked well however like anything in life things have to be spiced up.

This caught my eye only because there is more intensity than I have ever performed due to the structure of the MGS, SGS and AGS. What are you thoughts on that style of training?

I didnt just pull 405 i worked up to it with warm up sets. 135, 225, 275, 315, 365, 385. Just in case it was unclear and that's what you thought.

Just checked, it's 25m long. I can make time to watch it tomorrow/another day and share some thoughts. But, could you just summarize it briefly for those not inclined to spend 25m watching it?

Based on your numbers it seems to me that what you were doing before was working, although I don't know your size, XP, etc.. In general if something makes sense, it's worth trying if you're hungry to learn and test yourself with something new. Worst case is that you run through it, reach a point where you see it's not working for you, and you back off and try something else (although I think it's good to test something 100% until it's done and then decide) :)

Also why the fook were you sprinting down a mountain trail in Banff? Unless there's an angry bear or mountain lion chasing you, up is the preferred direction for a sprint.

It was actually Glacier National Park (just most people done know where that is compared to Banff), we were camping. The hike was late in the day and the only close water refill station was inside and soon to close. I didn't have much left and didn't feel like boiling any that night.

To summarize:

Day 1 Deadlift . Day 2 Bench, Day 3 Squat and Day 4 OHP.

Each Day consists of three sets of movements . The main giant set (main movement in it) the second giant set (direct accessory movement) and a third giant set (smaller accessory movements)

Example Day 1 deadlift
Main Gian set
1A - Explosive hinge movement - (Something to open the hips (kettle bell swing, box jumps)
1B - Deadlift
1C Ab Variation
1D 90 Second rest - Repeat

Second Giant Set
1A Explosive hinge
1B SLDL
1C AB Variation
1D 90 second rest - Repeat

Third Giant Set
1A Reverse Hypers
1B Glute Ham Raises
1C BB Row

10 minutes of conditioning after every workout.

Weeks 1-4 4x8 , Liner progression each week
Weeks 5-8 5x5 Liner progression each week
Weeks 9-12 10x3 Liner progression each week.

The only reason this caught my eye is due to how the structure is different from anything I have ever done and like I said change can be interesting.

Myself I am about 205 pounds, 6'1 progressing to 220 (hopefully). January marks 3 years of lifting.

Unfortunately I don't live down there. If I could id live in Revelstoke BC. I might buy a house there one day.

I just did a a two week trip, rented a car in Kelowna and drove to Banff hiking different trails in the parks on the way and a bit of rafting.

Some nice areas the whole way.

I am not enhanced. The program still follows a liner progression system its just incorporates an odd "set system" that being the giant sets. I was curious if anyone had ever experimented with something like that and if they could elaborate.

For instance just from taking it apart i would have to assume that doing box jumps to a Squat to an ab workout would hinder your squat to a small degree. This being said it also packs in more work into a workout. A 4 day routine is desirable, I work a lot and also why before hand i enjoyed the TSA intermediate program.
