Marathons are literally the dumbest thing. There's literally no point.

The first guy to ever do it died, so people continued doing it. Makes sense.

Compared to what? Bodybuilding? People have died lifting, whether by causing their body too much stress overload or by weights crushing them to death... Does that make lifting weights "the dumbest thing?" Is there "Literally no point?"

And who said anything about marathons? Running can be very healthy in salubrious dosages.

Most avid runners have goals to one day complete a marathon. Stop getting offended by truthful statements.

People have died doing everything. That wasn't the point I was making. I was saying that the first person to ever complete that distance died and humans thought it was a good idea to continue doing it. You know, as like a joke.

There's literally no point to running because of technology creating a much better form of cardio that isn't so harsh on the knees and feet. If you're doing running for anything other than cardiovascular health, you might as well lift.

Lol a friend of mine isn't the best runner in the world but he completes several marathon's a year. It seems like it doesn't even affect him.

The runners that I know are either doing them or training to do them and it is impressive.

I don't want to give the wrong impression with this because I think it's completely incredible for someone to be able to do one. I just think it is completely worthless unless you're actually getting paid to do it.
