Compared to what? Bodybuilding? People have died lifting, whether by causing their body too much stress overload or by weights crushing them to death... Does that make lifting weights "the dumbest thing?" Is there "Literally no point?"
And who said anything about marathons? Running can be very healthy in salubrious dosages.
Most avid runners have goals to one day complete a marathon. Stop getting offended by truthful statements.
People have died doing everything. That wasn't the point I was making. I was saying that the first person to ever complete that distance died and humans thought it was a good idea to continue doing it. You know, as like a joke.
There's literally no point to running because of technology creating a much better form of cardio that isn't so harsh on the knees and feet. If you're doing running for anything other than cardiovascular health, you might as well lift.
