"juice" depends on whether it's veggie or fruit
fruit = gf'd, calories galore
veggies = disease prevention + fibre
the major ways to actually cleanse the body, if you strip away anecdotal evidence and popular bullshit, are:
1. drink water, eliminate waste
2. eat fibre, eliminate waste
3. exercise
4. reduce exposure to toxins
interestingly enough, if you replace 4. with ketosis and/or thermogenics, you have the formula for weight loss
i am big into smoothies and greens but i am not fool enough to think that all the detox ingredients i happen to ingest are actually detoxing me. it comes down to the 4 things i listed above and all the rest is just advertising.
e: a note on antioxidants (berry sourced): yes, they do help clear up free radicals. guess what? exercise is even better.
