just started lifting again, did a comprehensive full body workout on Saturday evening and still feeling sore in my upper body today

did squats, leg press, ab workouts, vertical rowing, horizontal rowing, shoulder press, bench press, chest press, and pull ups

last couple days have been taking hot baths to get some relief, and have been getting adequate rest and protein

is it normal to still be sore on the 4th day after an intense workout?

also did I overdo my workout too much? I went with sets, reps, and weights that were somewhat difficult but not too much for me

Yep you overdid it, I don't know why you'd do your entire body like that unless you don't know better, people break up muscle groups for a reason.

Makes it even worse since you just got back...

It is normal to be sore on the 4th day assuming you did a really damn good workout, this holds especially true with legs (usually on the 4th day though you are feeling pretty much good to go and the soreness is gone)

It's normal.

Look into a workout plan.

I had the help of a friend who I wanted to show me proper techniques and he lives far away. I know to split up lower and upper body days. What exactly do you mean by you over did it? Just the fact I did full body or that I should cut back on reps sets or weight?

Well, If you just start again and do everything as heavy as you can etc, you will get sour for sure. You need to build it up a bit.

yeah just keep doing what youre doing if thats what planned, it'll sort out itself as your body gets more used to the routine

should be much better in a couple weeks, especially if u train with high frequency

It just means you need more rest in those 4 days... imo should've only lasted 2 and maybe a third..
Eat and sleep for a better recovery..

go in and do some light work around 60% of what you think your max is. two days from now you will be ready to rock again.
