Constructive criticism is encouraged

Hi everybody, my name is Kyle. I've battled with obesity for my entire life.. When I was 14 years old, I weighed a wopping 270 lbs. By the time I was 19, I was close to 350 lbs.

One day, something clicked in my head, and I remember looking in the mirror and saying 'I'm sick of being a pussy..' So I started working out, every day for almost 2 years. By the time I was 'done' I weighed 190 lbs. I felt great, I looked great, I was great.

I relapsed guys.. I met a girl, got comfy and got fat. I saw a weight I never wanted to see before a few months ago, 270 lbs.. It hurt, the realization that I was back to that magic number that struck a nerve all those fucking years ago.. I want to get healthy, not only for me but for my wife and my 9 month old daughter. I want my family to learn by example, and I never want my daughter to go through the struggle I did when I was a kid..

Here is me and my inspiration, my daughter Abbey

ROAD TO NOT BEING A FAT TROLL

Currently, I work in the Emergency Room as a Trauma Tech. I work 12 hour days, so I find it easy to miss a meal, or two.. I recently was reading about intermittent fasting, and I kind of do it on accident, so why not make it a healthier version of it? Here is how my day is laid out eating wise.

Morning:
Black Coffee
2 poached eggs
(140 cal)

First snack 'around 10':
Raw veggies 'they vary'
Greek Yogurt
(around 250 cal)

Second snack 'around 2':

More raw veggies
MORE coffee
(around 150 cal)

First meal 'around 6':
8 oz chicken breast
1/2 cup wild rice
1 cup broccoli
(500 cal)

Second meal 'around 8:30':
8 oz chicken breast
1/2 cup black beans
raw veggies 'vary'
(750 cal)

Total Cal: 1800'ish'

I drink a LOT of water... I probably go through my 24 oz bottle every 30 min-1 hour at work, so hydration is no problem!

My gym routine is currently in works, but right now I'm doing drop sets 3 days a week. I alternate chest/biceps, legs/shoulders, triceps/back.

My days at the gym vary simply because my days at work vary, but I usually don't do more than 1 day rest in between days unless I work 3 or 4 in a row.

I've cut out drinking, eating out and being lazy.. Now it's about staying motivated and doing this thing.

It's been 3 weeks since I've started and I feel great. I've been weighing myself on a weekly basis, and last I checked, I'm down 10 lbs.

I will keep this updated as often as I feel necessary. If anybody has any constructive criticism or suggestions, please please please share!

I feel it when I go to the gym, even after 3 weeks.. But I think its probably because of the drop sets.. Those things fucking kill me, my tris were actually shivering today when I was done.

14 and 270lbs?
What i see in that is bulking gift.
Dude if you grew up with me....you'd be a monster OL OR DL doesn't matter.
3 years and you'd be 300lbs+ with insane strength. I mean fuck.....are you kidding me? lmfao

Bro i struggled through my life @ 145-165lbs playing football as a running back. Downing weight gainers and eating speghetti for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Throw in a couple brocolli cutlets. (got that idea from my coach)

That shit hurts when you're a tiny dude and everyone else is huge and our biggest lineman were all sitting around 240-260.

Gosh what a waste of talent.

HOw were your knees? any knee injuries by the time you were 15?
