Basically the big question here is if I should keep cutting for the summer or lean bulk.

I'm pretty lean TBH. I'd say I'm 8.59% right now. Obliques aren't super visible but it's obvious I have abs, I had striations in my shoulders. I'm 18 and have been lifting for probably 2 years.

The BIG thing I'm worried about is beach days. Will I get fat pretty quick when I stop eating 1750 calories a day? I think my maintenance is 2400. I'm 5'8 and 151.

I'm just not sure if I should keep eating at a deficit for the summer or lean bulk. Eating at a deficit is super tough for me during the summer with all these events , but at the same Time I want to stay pretty damn lean.

8.59? How'd you get that tested? That's very lean if true. Anyway it's up to you and depends on how lean of a bulk you go to determine how quickly you gain weight. A slight surplus won't put on weight very quickly and it won't be pure fat gain so it should be safe to do that and keep your 6 pack.

But it needs to be a caloric surplus of clean foods like chicken breast and shit right?

You just want a good macronutrient ratio of the calories. So like 150 G protein is enough for your weight then fill in the rest with majority carbs and then fats. It's also good to minimize unnecessary sugars since that's additional calories that you may not account for. A lean bulk would be like 250 surplus of calories which is about half lb of weight gain per week if maintained and counted properly.

If your obliques aren't showing you're not 8-9%. Mine are barely visible, and I'm prolly 12-13

E/ just lean bulk. You've got plenty more summers ahead of you. And girls don't give a fuck if you're 6% or if you're 15% it looks the exact fucking same to them. Only other guys will notice your physique and shout at you and tell you you're shredded as you slap each other's arms, and talk about muscles, and each other's glutes. Then go back to their hotel to drink, and dance around in your underwear after you've completely ignored the sloots and they've left. So you just hug it out with your new bro friends.

some truth to this. Ive gone from single digit bf to 15% and still have a 4pack. Girls don't give a rats ass, as long as you have a bit of thickness and some ab definition.
