To anybody here who's been through BUD/S & Hell Week, can you explain what it was like. Not that I'm going to it myself, just curious as to what helped you get through. I heard its 10% physical and 90% mental and that even the best athletes fail and people who are in a lot worst shape make it through. What's the mentality you have throughout the week? What do you think about to keep you motivated. One SEAL told me that he kept on telling himself "One moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory".

Is this the thing where they semi torture the nnavy seals to make them break mentally?

Remember the case where 1 seal said he still has nightmares about the time on like night 5 getting penetrated by different objects which the government denied but they had that huge inquest into it and the royal commission delved into it too

kinda, hell week is open to anyone AFAIK. Canadians do it all the time, and it's pretty common for them to win top candidate.

I've never done a Hell Week, but I can imagine it's probably not a whole lot different than a week's worth of Crucible.
54 hours of basically no time to eat, almost no sleep, physical and mental challenges, and them trying to break you down and make you quit.
It was about 5 F when I went through mine. They had to literally break the ice on the creeks for us to crawl through, and we weren't allowed to wear any warming layers or gloves/watch caps, and that shit was rough.

This video shows most of the challenges, with none of the extra bullshit that they're not allowed to put on camera.

9/10, would absolutely do again.

You'd actually do it again? That shit isn't fun in the moment, it fucking sucks. I do understand slightly though, all I have are good memories of it, but I wouldn't do it over again unless I had to.

I would actually do it again. The suck is the best fucking part, because once you get done you feel like you actually fucking challenged yourself and accomplished something.
