So I was in a muay thai tournament last Tuesday (the 15th) and got kneed in the chest. Went down, shortness of breath, pain etc. A few minutes later I was back on my feet and back to normal. The first days were barely even painful, just a little uncomfort. However, the pain is getting WORSE instead of better. It's like a reverse healing process. The pain is so bad now, a week later, that I can barely get out of bed. Is this normal that the pain is getting worse instead of better?

There's no point, even if it's broken, fractured or bruised, there's no treatment for ribs so going to a doctor for him to say "It's broken but there's nothing I can do" is a waste of time.

Probably bruised a rib. Just watch out for pneumothorax incase it is a broken rib. Broken rib pain is usually very localized and tender to the touch but compression on the same rib in a different location will probably produce pain at the fracture site. If it's bruised it will be less localized but pressure at a distal site shouldn't induce pain
