So I've been working out, trying to get lean before I try bulking.

I think it's time. I have difficulty getting enough to bulk throughout the day, so are weight gainers recommended?

edit: I still have some whey protein and creatine left so I'm thinking I'd do 2 day splits with whey+creatine and weight gainers until my protein+creatine supply depletes.

Yes, this will be a significant increase in $/day but I personally think I need to change to better my health

At the end of the day do whatever you must to be at a caloric surplus, but mass gainer is pretty overpriced compared to what you can just make/eat yourself.

This is easy on days off but on work days, it's really difficult to find time to eat enough. Sure I can try to prep it all the night before (instead of buying food - which surely costs more than weight gainers + minimal food(not relying on weight gainers alone)) but then I can't be on d2jsp when I'm off :^)

Whenever I hear " its hard to gain weight or I have trouble gaining weight ", it just comes down to motivation. Be lazy or go after it, your results will depend on your motivation level.....

I'm already motivated to come back home after long commute and long hours to workout 6 days a week.

I mean you don't need to workout 6 days a week.. diet is the most important for results.

But I was trying to get lean, that was the whole goal of my workouts up til now.

I'm open to suggestions for changing routine for bulking but it's really difficult on food.

Pretty sure if you use the correct foods, a homemade shake is way cheaper than mass gainer.
