Tried my first ever 1rm attempt deadlifting, it's 10 lbs heavier than my working set of 3x5 LOL (pulled 355, i pull 345x5 with clean form) jumped from 295 to 345 to 375 couldnt break it off the floor etc

I was told to start pulling conventional in training for general strength. my sumo pull is 345x5 but 225x5 conventional felt even harder than that (I'm doing 2-3 second eccentrics on conventional, dropping the weight on sumo) if there's such a huge gap it would make sense to pull conventional to bring it up and strengthen those lacking muscles to help with my sumo? (i have the proportions to pull conventional, but it just doesn't work out for me)

also i wanted to grab an inzer belt, 10mm I'm guessing a medium? i tried one on, and i'm either at the last or 2nd to last loop hole. do i want a front lever one or a buckle one?

lever > buckle? prolly going 10mm, after doing more reading i highly doubt i'll need a 13mm for atleast the next 10-15 years

I have a lever as well, I wish I would have gotten a buckle just to adjust for bloat and weight gain/loss instead of having to change the buckle around but I'm also a lazy piece of shit

I lift conventional heavier than sumo, though I've never tried 1rm on sumo because I don't do it and I don't want to hurt myself cuz my form is weak.

When I did both in high school I was always more sore from doing conventional so that's what I've stuck to. I get awful lower back pumps tho

Holy fuck I pulled 225x5 conventional for 3 sets with slow eccentrics and my traps low back and flutes are rekt today. If I ever compete prolly gonna pull sumo though just cuz that 120lb difference.

I don't really understand how the lever works but I'm gonna be going through quote a bit of weight change so buckle >???
