So I'm IF
- intermittent fasting

And I need to be in a deficit to ensue fat loss, do I have to basically weigh everything to make sure I'm eating less calories or can I assume with much smaller portions I'm eating less than I need for maintenance.

Also what type of foods should I be eating during this?
Specifics .... For every meal. Brown rice, chicken, tuna etc.

lower calories=weight loss

set a number

see if it works, else adjust

thats it, what you eat doesnt matter in regards to this, you can eat the exact same stuff u usually eat and add in some cardio if u want

Really? I'll still try and eat real clean and keep my protein up. I'm saying if I don't eat much of shit will it fuck up my body? Do I have to get around like 2000 calories a day? I'm trying to do a deficit of 500

you can always guess but then theres a chance you might be eating a smaller or larger deficit, or even a slight surplus. the only way to KNOW is to measure and calculate

Good point. It's just tedious weighing EVERYTHING. I'm going to try and eye my portions

Fat/weight loss. Hitting your macros very important along with a very strict diet. Invest in a food scale. I personally cut using 40/35/25 formula with a 500-600 deficit.

What I usually do when I cut is I over estimate what I eat. Most of the time it works.
