These are really hard. I monkeyed around with them on wednesday instead of doing real squats because I was so burned out.
Started with the smith machine but that was awkard as fuck, then did some with the long skinny pvc pipe that everybody uses to warm up with (shoulder dislocations and such)
Then I got a barbell and really nailed them. I did 3 sets of 10. Then added 5 pounds on each side. Then added 10 pounds on each side. Almost dropped bar in front of me.
Anyone do these a lot? I really enjoyed them and would be impressed at anyone able to do these with real weight.

I agree, definitely a hard lift.

I tried them for the first time awhile ago with just the bar and it felt awkward.

Did em today with 185 lol.

Need to stretch either your ankles, thoracic, or shoulders probably.

Most people don't Olympic lift so they can't do them for shit.... Once you get the mobility down and learn how to really lock out the weight tho, they become infinitely easier.

Granted, I Olympic lift a lot.

I'd say it's probably the most difficult accessory lift out there for most people.. Most of my friends would be lucky to be able to do a full over head while holding a broom stick lol.

I do them mostly for mobility now and keep it fairly light. But when I was doing olympic lifts regularly is something I incorporate. It is definitely got for mobility and core strength lol.

This. You can't really have any flaws in your mobility or core strength and be able to do heavy OHS.
