I'm starting a green smoothie diet. Starting Monday, I'll be consuming nothing but green smoothies (except Saturdays). Plan to go 4-5 months.

Anyone try this before? Have any tips or recipes?

I'm gonna buy all the ingredients for a month. My smoothies will be made of...
Spinach
Kale
Broccoli
Bananas
Avocado
Flax seeds
Chia seeds
Coconut oil
Almond milk
Protein powder
Berries (if they're on sale)
Other fruits (whatever is on sale)

I'll post updates on my weight loss. I'm currently 206lbs. Plan on losing 8-10lbs per month. My goal is 40lbs by August.

Just go on a deficit diet, count and track ur calories. And lose allthe weight u want. The reason this is stupid and imo bound to fail u will burn out quick.

I lost 40 lbs in 4 months on a regular good ol' deficit. It works or everyone, everytime. I went from 220 to 180.

I have a green smoothie every morning but I wouldn't only eat that during the day ...

Ps add carrots to your smoothie, fruits overpower anything that might taste bad so throw all the good shit in there

I usually do:
- spinach
- kale
- brocolli
- carrots
- strawberries
- blueberries
- mangos
- kiwi
- banana
- pineapple
- papaya
- blackberry
- raspberry
- chia seed
- granola
- water

Also drink like 3L of water a day ++ does wonders

I agree with what the other guys said. Being in a calorie deficit makes you lose weight, not drinking green smoothies. Incorporate it into your diet, otherwise you'll just tire yourself out after a few weeks.

just eat normally and incorporate some of that stuff into your diet, no need for extremes that will prbably fail anyway

just improve your diet as of now

gimmicky things such as this outrageous diet you say you're going to do are often aimed at lazy/undisciplined people who are looking for a quick way to stop being fat before spring time hits

there's no healthy way to lose weight without exercise to achieve, as others have said, a calorie deficit.

your inevitably gonna fail or its gonna be basically a sugar smoothie loaded with fruits so u can even choke the thing down lol..

i have a blend tec and drink smoothies daily... but only 1 a day..

why not just a well rounded diet? and something thats sustainable for the rest of ur life basically...
