i left uncooked chicken out on counter in a zip lock baggie. was cooking other piece, but forgot to put this one away back in fridge for around 3 hours....


still safe to cook?

or prob not?

would raising internal temp to a higher temp be better? or wont matter, still might be fuked?

What was the temperature of the room it was left in.

If cold, it may be fine.

If hot, I wouldn't risk it.

temperature is around 73 or 74 F

i believe ive heard of a 2 hour rule, not exact, but an estimate

this was 3 hours though...

it was coated in a marinade of bbq sauce lol in the baggie, idk if that means much

I remember leaving a chicken breast in water to defrost going through my entire day coming home to it in the sink a good 6 hours later, it was fine... did this on multiple occasions

wtf deffs fine, sometimes i throw frozen fish in a sink the night before i eat it, and like 20 hours later i'll cook it.
