how do you guys manage your gym time around working a full time (or more), non desk job?

i recently started working 50+ hours a week that involves a lot of lifting, and i hardly ever feel like going to the gym now.

anyone else experience this?

Just decrease the workload and do what you can with the energy you have and don't spend more time than you feel like on it.

I recognize that feel. Worked around 60h/week for half a year (night in a factory and afternoon/evening at a concerthall). Weekdays training worked out decently but during the weekends it was either training or social life.

76 hours of work a week and I still manage 4 days a week for at least 1.5 hours.

All about priorities.

Try it with a kid. It helps having a gym with flexible hours

I did it for years, prepping all my meals too. For me it got old, I found a new hobby and eat normal. I just lift in my spare time.

I am the same, just put in more effort to your gym than job (being honest)
I try fit in 1 hour before work (5am-6am roughly) and 30 min cardio after work if possible which lately I havn't been able to do just cos of time

I work 630-5 almost every day except Sunday. So before is out of the question. And at the end of the day I'm so tired

yea it's tough.

Make sure you eat a lot during the day + large cup of coffee and get good sleep. bout it.

Worked landscaping a few summers ago. around the same hours, and pretty much intense labor the entire time. I'd get home, have a small snack and 2 cups of black coffee and then head to the gym. Ran smolov squat + smolov jr. bench so was squatting 4x a week and benching 4x a week with accessory work on top.

8 hours of sleep a night was necessary, would pack a massive lunch, stay hyrdated etc etc
