I'm debating switching gyms. My contract with PLanet fitness is over in January. It's an extra 45 minute round trip out of my way to go there... A new Anytime Fitness just opened up less than 10 minutes out of my way, to and from work.

PF is $20/month, amazing facilities, good people, FREE HAIRCUTS!!

Cons: no bench press OR squat rack, just smith machines. 45 minute trip, hasn't hindered me yet I go when I want to, drive a car that gets 40+mpg.

AF is $40/month. Nice looking place, all the same machines in less quantity and much smaller square footage. Bench press, squat rack, and a smith machine. Newer treadmills.

Cons: no more free haircuts, unsupervised so if I drop weights on myself at 3am I'm f'd, no stretch cage(pf has one I use it several times while there)

Choices. Damn. Might have to have two memberships, can I be alpha by default if I have two gym memberships?

This. No bench or squat rack is a game breaker even if it was free.

This.

Get both memberships, still less than the cost of a crossfit gym and you still get your free haircuts.

Our best gyms in socal consist of La Fitness, 24 hour fitness, & Golds gym. They all include everything a person with bodybuilding aspirations has. $30-$40.

Our cheapest gyms are Crunch at $10, Planet Fitness at $9, & Fitness 19 at $7. All but Planet Fitness have weightlifting equipment. Idk where you live but your gyms are terrible and.overpriced.
