so, u guys think its the same to take a scoop or two of protein and mix with water only. and take without any food in stomach? or would eating some solid food help with absorption?

and it all good to take a shake at night before bedtime? still be used for repairing muscles and other good stuffs? i know eating at night doesnt just turn food to fat like the myth says, but wonder if still good to take at night? talking about whey protein for both questions.

dont think either matters, just double checking

i take shakes with water, milk, and sometimes a mixture of the two if im using 2+ scoops (can be too thick otherwise)

mixing with water allows the protein to be absorbed a lot quicker, it's good pre workout and doesnt make you feel bloated.

i usually mix with milk if i have one before bed, as absorption speed isnt as important and for the sake of extra calories.

I would assume protein absorption speed would be totally irrelevant unless you were in a deficit and had been fasting for a significant period of time.
In which case, I doubt the difference of water:milk would have any real effects.

So to answer op, no it doesnt matter imo.

Well it depends if you believe in the science of protein intake window post workout. If you take it with milk post workout than the milk will cost your stomach and delay protein absorption ... Which may not be fast enough to be beneficial.

I rarely take whey anymore anyway, so meh. I know I don't get enough protein and I'm cutting ... Yet I still get stronger.

The cool thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it.

Sure, the milk casein will digest slower, but with whey in there, it will begin to digest quickly,.
