how low are u supposed to go exactly? i usually do them with light weight and my hamstrings are really sore today which ik is good. but my lower back is also sore and have a bit of discomfort. i know it didnt round because i made sure i stopped before it would round and didnt go nearly low enough for that to happen. i did sumos too but ik for a fact my lower back sore from them. also did 45 degree hyperextensions with body weight and idt that caused it either. i mostly notice a little low back discomfort after doing romanian deads. does anyone else experience that and is it normal? not sure if im a fan of them or not but if done right ik theyre good. no vid rn but i focus on sitting back with the hips slight ben in knees.

tl:dr- anyone else notice a little bit of low back pain/discomfort after doing romanian deads?

probs a weak lower back i have along with glutes but im workin on it

ok good. everyone tells me my form is good with deads but i just wanna make sure its normal. im kinda OCD with that kinda shit having good form. i have trouble differentiating between DOMS in the low back vs a pain u shouldnt have. when i go into lumbar flexion the next day, say to pick something off the floor, its a bit tight/sore. just trying not to snap my shit up

The way I usually see it is if it persists after long periods of time even with rest. Most people who deadlift will experience DOMS in lower back, as you would with any other muscle in the body.

If you had LBP you would most likely know it. It's a different kind of pain then DOMS

i do this but my brother told me when i was doing RDL it looks like i was using more lower back to lift the weight, even though i was sitting back and had a flat back. i think i need to get better activation in the glutes and hams probs.

will be videoing my sumos tho soon. and maybe RDL too

Am I the only person who finds the soreness in your lower back from deads like the best sore muscle pain out of anywhere on the body. It feels so good.
