I think cr3eatine is saturated after a certain amount.
Loading is high but maintenance period goes down to 20% or so depending on the product.

In short, it might not give any additional effect after a certain amount of intake.

My maintenance dose is 5g and it works good.

Pretty much this; can go lower on load phase if the phase is longer

I actually use 7.5 g daily, just because I believe in supersaturation (the old Arnold theory). That's 7.5 pure creatine, which is a 15g scoop for most products.
Some people get the runs with creatine, in which case malate is often recommended.

N.B. creatine is better absorbed with some carbs; concord grape juice ftw.

e: and, love of God, don't forget to hydrate. Something like 750-1500 ml, and I recommend taking creatine pre-workout and getting some of the fluid when you take the creatine and the rest as you workout. nn to feel bloated.

I remember reading researches saying anything over 3-6g of creatine was basicly useless.

You use about 2.5-3g daily. Anything more than that is just sort of wasted. Most people take 1 tsp (5g) each day just because it will make sure you've replenished the creatine you've used completely.
