So in my ~ 6 year lifting career I've obviously tasted pretty much all the market has to offer when it comes to protein powders and that's lead to the conclusion that Gold Standard Whey tastes absolutely delicious and everything else is a piece of shit, especially the cheap protein powder.
The whey I've bought the most are from Star Nutrition and Protein Fabrikken (Swedish and Norwegian companies) I've tried every flavour they have and most of them are unbearable, but chocolate and cookies 'n' cream are decent...
4kg of star nutrition = ~ $80
6 kg (2*3) of PF = ~ $120
cheap as fuck, but tastes horrible.
Then there's gold standard...
2.2kg ON = ~ $110
4kg ON = ~ $190
Over twice the price of Star Nutrition

Went to Sweden today and bought two buckets of gold standard whey (was on special offer, got 4.4 KG for $160 which is a bargain when it comes to ON products in Norway lmao)
two flavours that I've never tried before, french vanilla and delicious strawberry, both tasted like heaven, like a McDonald's milk shake. I've previously tested chocolate and cookies & Cream from ON which IMO are the two best tasting protein powders on the market.
Another thing I've noticed...
Gold Standard = shake it gently in your shaker for 3 seconds and its 100% mixed
other branded whey = shake it as hard as physically can for 30-60 seconds and there's still a few tiny lumps in there...
Now I don't really have a problem with paying a premium for a premium product (I'm materialistic as fuck anyways) but afaik Gold Standard is not priced at a premium in the U.S. ?
$57 for 5 lbs, roughly half the price we pay for ON G.S. but that's what it costs for protein powder from other brands as well... Why do they look at O.N. as a luxury product here

In any case fuck cheap protein powders, Gold Standard Whey for life from now on
