Anyone use a vertical leg press? I just joined an old school powerlifting gym and got to use my first one in several years today.

These things are RIDICULOUSLY hard. I absolutely love it. I'll NEVER leg press on a normal Gold's machine again.

I leg press ~1000 x 6-7 on a normal 45degree leg press but on this thing I could only put up 525 x 6 and got the 7th rep 80% up before failure.

What do you do to develop your hamstrings? I bet you don't do good mornings. I bet you don't even activate your hamstrings in your squats.

Want to add 50 pounds to your squat in 3 months? Add heavy, controlled leg presses.

If you do not use mind-muscle connection to activate your hamstrings, what brings you out of the hole on a squat?

Quit pretending like your body isn't using X muscle because you're not consciously focused on contracting it. Whether you can think/feel it or not, it doesn't change the bio-mechanics of the lift.

inb4 I only squat 315. (as if that is even bad...)
