Do you train X amount of weeks with same amount of weight and then take a deload week and repeat while increasing in weight slowly by next cycle.
Or make a progressive overload cycle for example 10 weeks (like starting from 65% of ur max and end up at 110% of ur max)

I do the same.
Is it the most effective tho ? or is it the ego wanting to lift big instead of a overload cycle that ends in a better result by starting slow and end big.

There is no end. Just keep lifting and eating consistently and the gains will come.

Progressive overload doesnt just have to pertain to how much weight youre lifting.

this.

although I'd prefer to do a progressive overload the way you were describing, with the main lifts. I don't care about the numbers for my lat flies, or dips or w/e, but bench, squat, deadlift, ohp, maybe even clean I want those nice and high, it's an amazing feeling breaking plate barriers on those lifts.
