Let's spike up this wasteland of trolls, scrawns, old school lurkers and the occasional lifter we call H&F.


The contest is pretty simple;


Deadlift twice your bodyweight for as many reps as you can.



I will be posting updated rules at the end of the 3 day period to get some feedback and modify according to what the commounity wants. Please look for that set of rules for the contest.

Proposed rules:

- The contest is open from September 8th to October 8th inclusive. This gives some time to modify the official rules.

- In the video, we must see you weight yourself. If you suck at video editing, just take a separate video for the weight-in and the benching.

- Every rep must come to a complete stop at the bottom (no bouncing)

- No hiking reps will be accepted

- No shoes required

- Straps are aloud because I don't want everyone tearing callouses (complain if you don't like this)

- Judging will be up to me. However I'm entering this myself also, so please volunteer if you want to judge mine according to the outlined rules above.

Prize:

I'll give a bunch of FG to the top 3, plus one random entrant will win some FG (so enter all!)

I'll also take donations to make the winner pot bigger.

2x BodyWeight deadlift for max reps just screams injury, and I coach Crossfit. The most dangerous thing in the world aside from Aspartame

Yea my 1 rep max is 315 on a good day and I weigh 158. I won't be entering this lol gl heavy dlers

With a max deadlift of 540 I wonder how many time I can rep 360.

Cool I don't even have to adjust my training for this.

I can probably muster out 2-3 reps if I'm lucky lol.

You can rep out 1.5x bodyweight if you want, or even bodyweight. I'll throw in some prizes for those who participate, but it won't be much :)

not concerned about the prizes, I was just hoping the next contest wouldn't be off bodyweight, but off your 1rm or something instead.

how do you prove your 1RM? it's an incentive to pretend it's lower so that you can dish out more reps.
