I've been training (running, sprints, drills, juggling/dribbling, etc.) but I still don't think I'm ready for tryouts.

Tryouts are like November sometime I believe.

I haven't done it recently, but I did 6-8 rounds of tabata to increase my stamina. It's probably
better to just do the running/sprinting huh? Simulates soccer-playing more

it seems you are trying hard to simulate soccer-playing...why don't you just play pickup soccer...

also...strengthen and stretch your groin if it is weak...groin strain is like one of the most frequent injuries in soccer.

I do play pickup soccer, I can't play pickup soccer everyday of the week?

I play once or twice a week with my friends

ODP, travel teams, high school varsity, etc etc

But in general, work on getting quicker feet, and getting in shape, you should be able to jog at a brisk pace for at least 30 mins before going out for the team unless you wanna ride benches
